In the early fall of 2013, I decided that I wanted to try my hand at putting on a Christmas light display that is synchronized to music.  After browsing the web and reading several forums over at http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com and http://www.diychristmas.org, I decided that I was ready to give it try.  While both of these forums offer well-designed DIY controllers, one of the primary reasons that I was interested in doing the synchronized light show was to enjoy the DIY spirit fully.  As a Electrical Engineer by education and an embedded software engineer professionally, I decided to embark on the journey of designing my own controller based off the Arduino platform.

This web site serves as a place to document my projects.  Unless otherwise noted, all the information and designs on this site are open-source for non-commercial uses.  Feel free to browse around and see what I've been designing.  Maybe something I've done here will be helpful to you or inspire a new project for yourself.
